The client approached us with a request to design the façade of the main street; however, the property had three façades: one adjacent to a park, one inside an alley, and the most significant façade for the client facing the street. Considering the materials used in the neighboring buildings, brick was chosen as the primary material.
Despite the restrictions imposed by the Tehran façade committee, we endeavored to maintain the connection between the building and the park by creating voids between the walls of the ground floor. We invited the trees from the park into the courtyard of the complex and continued their green color into the building's upper floors. This approach allowed all three façades of the building to take shape with a common design language and unified value, emphasizing the composition and earthy color of the bricks alongside the greenery.
This invitation to nature even extended to the parking gate, where the door was adorned with designs of trees such as cypress. With each entry and exit through the gate, a small gateway to nature welcomes you.
We viewed the challenge of neighboring the park as an opportunity to provide an experience of modern living in connection with nature. We believe that architecture should give people a sense of belonging and a deep connection with their surroundings, and this project exemplifies that philosophy.
